Quick answer: Carry your admit card and a valid photo identity document, reach the centre well before reporting time, and pace the paper in two passes: answer everything you are certain about first, then return to marked questions. Do not study new material on exam morning.

The night before

  • Pack documents, stationery and a transparent water bottle if permitted
  • Confirm the centre route and travel time
  • Sleep at your normal hour; a sudden early night rarely works

The first ten minutes

Read the instruction page, confirm the question count and the negative marking rule, and start with the section where you score most reliably unless the paper mandates an order.

The last ten minutes

Stop new attempts. Verify your marked answers transferred correctly and clear any unintended marks.

Verify every detail on the official source

Dates, fees and patterns change every cycle. Treat the official notification as final.

Frequently Asked Questions

What documents must I carry?

The admit card, a valid photo identity document and any additional item listed in the admit card instructions. Read the admit card fully; requirements differ by exam.

How should I pace the paper?

Take one pass answering everything you are sure about, mark the rest, then return. Do not let one hard question consume time that five easy ones need.

What if the paper feels unusually hard?

It probably feels that way to everyone, and cutoffs adjust. Keep attempting steadily instead of recalculating your score mid-paper.

Should I study on exam morning?

Only light revision of your own notes. New material on the exam morning adds anxiety, not marks.
