Start from your current qualification
If you are in or have finished Class 12, the five-year route is the usual starting point. If you hold or are completing a degree, read the three-year LL.B. prospectus. Eligibility percentages and reservation rules are set in each year's official document; do not rely on older summaries.
Prepare for the correct paper
The two entrances are separate tests. Use previous papers and mocks from your route. A five-year student and a graduate preparing for the three-year LL.B. should not assume the same paper, timetable or cutoff.
Questions to ask a coaching centre
Ask which route each batch targets, which practice papers are used and who teaches legal aptitude. Get batch timing and fee inclusions in writing.
