What the route is for
This is the postgraduate-entry law programme for candidates who already hold a degree. It is separate from the five-year integrated route and uses its own portal and schedule.
Areas to cover
- English comprehension and usage
- Logical and analytical reasoning
- Legal awareness: constitutional basics, contracts, torts, criminal law concepts
- General knowledge and current affairs
- Basic quantitative ability where notified
A sixteen-week plan
- Weeks 1–4: build the reading habit, start legal awareness notes, begin daily news notes.
- Weeks 5–8: sectional practice with timing, first full paper at week eight.
- Weeks 9–12: weekly full papers, monthly current affairs consolidation, topic repair.
- Weeks 13–16: revision of personal notes, previous-year papers, two papers a week.
Fitting it around work
Protect ninety minutes on weekdays and four hours on one weekend day. A shorter routine followed daily beats long sessions taken twice a week.
Application discipline
Track the registration window, fee payment, admit card and admission stages from the official portal. Save every receipt and screenshot.
Official source
Check eligibility, pattern and dates on the official PGLAW portal.
